The Lost Workers (Permanent Exhibition)
The ‘Lost Workers’ is an archive installation created by the renowned French artist Christian Boltanksi as part of a 1994 exhibition at the Henry Moore Studio in Dean Clough’s E Mill and contains items once belonging to workers at Crossley Carpets.
The installation is a way of keeping alive the experience of the people who made carpets here. It is a self-curated exhibition – past Crossley employees (or, on their behalf, their relatives and friends) can put an item that once belonged to them in one of the named boxes that make up the archive.
If you would like to add an item to the ‘Lost Workers’ archive, please contact info@ac-dc.org.uk.
