The Halifax Art Society

This year marks a significant milestone, as The Halifax Art Society celebrate their 150th anniversary. This exhibition reflects their journey, showcasing the remarkable heritage passed down from forebearers to the present day.

Alongside the historical perspective presented in the Mosaic Gallery, The Upstairs Gallery showcases a dynamic collection of works by current HAS members.

Founded in 1875, The Halifax Art Society is a welcoming community of over 40 members based in Halifax. The society offers a varied programme of workshops, demonstrations and working mornings, providing artists with opportunities to learn, share ideas and develop their skills in a supportive environment.

When: Saturday 11th October until Sunday 23rd November, weekdays 09:00 – 17:00, weekends 10:00 – 16:00
