David Glover – Martha Crossley Talk

Born near Queensbury in 1775, Martha Crossley died at Dean Clough in 1854. She was a hardworking, determined woman who helped towards building the greatest carpet business in the world alongside her husband John.

Hear about her life in her own words from an autobiography she wrote for her children! David will read from this, plus the briefer Narrative of her husband, and include extra facts about the early Crossley and Turner families. A new illustrated presentation which will be accompanied by many old images.

When: Wednesday 3rd April 2024, 19:30 – 21:00 with a 20-minute interval.
