
Halifax Chamber Choir (Tuesdays)
Halifax Chamber Choir was founded in 1899 as the Halifax Madrigal Society. The name changed in 1989 to reflect the wider range of choral repertoire which includes a wide range of sacred and secular music from the medieval to the present day. The choir has performed in Halifax continuously over 120 years and currently performs at least three concerts a year.
The choir is currently directed by Aljosa Skorja, a Slovenian conductor and musicologist. He joined the choir in 2015, winning the London Classical Soloists’ Conducting Competition that same year.
When: Tuesdays, 19:30 until 21:30.
